Change page name - Is your page title new_page_1.htm?

You have probably got them in your web site?

The page title is something completely different to what you want it to be!

When you do file save as, in Microsoft FrontPage,  you have the option to change the file name. Usually the file name is defined by the first few words. This applies to front page 98, 2000, 2002, 2003.

Say you had a blank page and you typed "About us" If you did file save as the default page title "About us" will be displayed. If you want to change the title or indeed the file name or both, it can be done here.

set page title in microsoft frontpage

One thing to remember.

File names should not have spaces!

Example: About Us when saved would look like About_Us as shown above. This is not good practice and in theory is not allow in HTML!!!

You should save the file like AboutUs or about or aboutus. I'm sure you get the picture.

HOWEVER

You can and should have spaces in the page title.

Set page title in frontpage

So for example if the page the user was viewing is aboutus.htm - your page title might be: -

Welcome to 'your site' Allow us to introduce ourselves.

Much more friendly don't you think?

FrontPage allows you to change your page titles easily.
